Counting The People on the Buses

I used a Shapes, ETC. mini school bus note pad to create this math learning center activity. The buses are mounted on "penny candy" size paper bags. I cut down the bags so they became about the size of the buses. TREND number stickers are on each bus so that a child could line them up in numerical order from 0 to 10. Then a child can look at the numeral on each bus and put that many passengers (Connecting People) on the bus.
You can also use the Shapes, ETC. mini treasure chest for a similar activity. Instead of adding "passengers" to the treasure chest, have the students add "jewels" or "gold coins."
