CD Color Bears Interactive Book

Don't you just love teddy bears? They are just so cute, so soft, so cuddly. These Color Bear photo cards from Carson Dellosa are just as appealing as a real teddy bear.
I taught preschool, Kindergarten, First grade and Second grade and can remember how frustrating it could be to have games with lots of loose pieces. My solution to that problem is to minimize the number of loose pieces by attaching some of them to tag, but leaving enough loose so that there is an activity for the children.
I turned the Color Bear cards into an interactive book. I glued each of the 11 bears, the Spanish color words, and 2 each of the object pictures to tag, laminated the tag and trimmed the pages. I used Ring-Its to bind the pages. I attached the smooth piece of Velcro to the backs of the English color words and the remaining object pictures. I attached the rough side of the Velcro to the pages of the book. As the children "read" the book they will attach the color words and object photos to the pages.
