Create a Big Book Using Trend's Birthday Festival Mini Bulletin Board Set
Carol Hartery's Free Activity Tools See PDF below for photos, reproducibles & copyright. Includes: Lyrics and Sample Book
Combine a mini bulletin board set with a Jack Hartman CD to create a great interactive big book. Jack Hartmann is one of my favorite children's musicians. His educational songs are connected to many areas of early childhood and early elementary curriculum. His "Birthdays" song from his Movin' Math All Around Me0. cd is perfect for a class book on birthdays.
I used TREND's Birthday Festival mini bulletin board set to create the "Birthdays" book. I used the happy birthday header on the cover of the 12" x 18" book. The months of the year are glued to double page spreads. I laminated and bound the book. I wrote the students names on the "name plates" that come with the bulletin board set and attached them to the page that shows the month their birthday comes.
As you play the song, turn the pages of the book and have them follow the directions that Jack sings to them. Be sure to visit Jack's web site at www.hop2itmusic.com. Check out the pdf file below to see the ideas. Enjoy!
