Snowman Craft

Carol Hartery's Free Activity Tools

This fun activity uses those unmatched socks.

For each sock snowperson you will need

  • one white sock

  • some cotton batting

  • a couple of rubber bands

  • about 12 inches of ribbon that is 1" to 2" wide

  • pompoms, buttons, felt scraps

  • tacky glue

Stuff about 3/4 of the stock with cotton batting. Twist a rubber band around the sock just above where the stuffing ends. Pull the remaining 1/4 of the sock over the rest of the sock to create a hat. Use the ribbon to create a scarf for your snowperson. Use the other materials to create eyes, nose, mouth, buttons and other features for your snowperson.

You could twist rubber bands around other parts of the sock to create a snowball look on your snowperson.

If you use different size socks you can create a snowperson family.

Enjoy!
